Rocca d'Anfo
The "Rocca D'Anfo" is a military fortress of Venitian origin (1426 - 1796), modified in the Napoleonic times (1797 - 1813). It's architecture is stunning and its position overlooking the Lake Idro of particular beauty. In modern times it has been used by the Italian military forces from 1992 until recently. Since the 1st of May 2007 it has finally been opened to the public. You can enjoy a guided tour inside the fortress following its labyrinth of narrow passage-ways, steep steps, turrets, mule tracks and hidden tunnels. The views over Lake Idro are astonishing.
